TOFU DONUT FAIL
Yesterdays tofu donut recipe didn't quite turn out how I wanted, they were a little chalky in texture from the rice flour and slightly too dry because I opted to bake them instead of fry, which I feel like may have been it’s downfall. So this morning the chooks get breakfast tofu donuts, and I'm off to the supermarket to get the gear to give these babies another crack!
PS: Second trial run was a winner! I opted for a different panacake mix a finer texture, more flavour and less leavening agents, cut out the extra baking powder and fried the suckers… then voila, a delicious and super simple, 3 ingredient donut recipe WITHOUT yeast, making it quick as well as easy.
